Heiner Meyer is a Pop Art painter and sculptor, he lives and works in Bielefeld. Meyer was born in 1953 in Bielefeld. He was interested in art and painting very early and had his first solo exhibition already with 19 years in a gallery in Münster. 1973 and 1974 he stayed in London and Cadaqués, where he worked as assistant of Salvador Dalí. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braunschweig and got a teaching position in 1983. During this time he also moved into his first studio in Bielefeld.

His works often show opposing elements. He combines different techniques such as painting and photography as well as different motives. With their themes, colors and high contrast Meyers works appear like striking advertisements. Recurrently are motifs from the world of casinos, luxury items, such as cars, diamonds, perfume and advertising slogans. Meyer combines this often with a portrait of a Hollywood stars or a model.

His sculptures such as "Botox-Box" and Disney characters belong to the genre of Pop Art as well. Meyer's works are included in public and private collections worldwide. Tommy Hilfiger, an important collector of American Pop Art, acquired several works by Meyer in 2014. One sculpture was featured even on the front page of the September 2014 issue of Architectural Digest, USA.
