Maryam Mansouri is born in Tehran in October 1979. As a child she always showed a special interest for art and continued on painting in different styles as a self-educated artist. In 2008, soon after obtaining her BA degree in insurance manage- ment, she decided to move to Italy in order to continue her artistic education. She graduated in Bachelor of Arts in Decoration from the Rome Academy of Fine Arts and returned to Iran in 2012.
Since then she undertook her professional career in painting, besides participating in free courses of well-known Iranian painting masters such as Babak Etminani and Hamid Souri. In the meantime she carried out some interior design projects such as “Shadow Coffee Shop” project for which she was awarded with the best commercial projects’ prize from the 7th annual Iran Interior Design contest in 2014. In recent years, she participated in several collective exhibitions such as “50×50” Exhibition in Azadi Tower Art Gallery in 2012. Though she held most of her exhibitions in her personal studio. Below we`ll see some of her works.
She started her artistic career creating figurative artworks using oil color. But lately she creates most of her works in abstract style using acrylic and mixed media material.
