Jenny Owens

Born in 1982 - Ireland

Jennifer Owen is a young Irish artist born in 1982. She has been drawing and painting since she was a young girl. She continued to study and practiced until she went to University and followed Spanish and Italian philology lessons. But this pause only last for a moment, the artist quickly turned to integrate the Beaux-Arts School in Barcelona.

Her art his influenced by artists and writers from different periods. In her work of arts, we can find her influence from archaeology, as the prehistoric site of Newgrange for example, to James Joyce work, author of Irish folklore. All these artistic movements provide to Jennifer Owen unique ideas, that she applies in her work.

Today, Jennifer Owen lives and works in Barcelona where she believes to have the sufficient distance on her own culture, which enables her to create links between the town Barcelona and her native land Ireland.
