Rivka Uziel

Graduated from Kalisher High School of Art in Tel Aviv. Professional training after studying art at the Smilansky House of Culture in Rehovot, as well as art history and artistic prints at the Tel Aviv Museum. I have been running a special project for 23 years called 'Different But One' at the University of Kampala in Uganda. This is an exhibition of art teachers, which takes place once a year at the University Gallery. Africa is the muse of my work. I appear in several magazines including: "The Lexicon of Painters and Sculptors" in Israel, "Guillotine" in Israel and Africa1, "Spectrum" in the United States, and I appear in other newspapers in Israel, Bulgaria and in Uganda. I have presented my works in personal or public exhibitions in Bulgaria, Croatia, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, the United States, Belgium and obviously in Israel too. My works adorn the walls of several public organizations in Israel and elsewhere. I believe that every artist has a goal. He has the talent to create something out of nothing as the Bible says: "and subtract it from God and from honor and splendor" (Tehilim het). The means available to me are varied: color, format, texture, material brush, and all these elements together we create the complete and perfect work.
