Umberto Alizzi is an Italian artist born in Padua in 1991. He has always been passionate about visual arts and after studying the works of the the great masters of Pop Art from Andy Warhol to Mimmo Rotella, he develops his personal artistic technique of décollage, oriented to the rediscovery of the artistic and photographic image.
He realizes great decollage on urban billboards and large decollage on wood, tearing and deconstructing large photographic posters. His art seeks the forgotten image. His works born from the tear of parts of an image that leave out parts of other images. The intensity of the tear and the method by which they run, create unique pieces.
Each piece is completely handmade with a unique and personal décollage technique who developed and refined over time. The torn image is an image refound, his works are a rediscovery of forgotten images that resurface their charm, becoming again the stars of a new work of art, unique in its identity. His name is present in the archive of the GAI (Young Italian Artists).
