Sofia Battisti

Sofia Battisti was born in Dolo on the 2nd November 1987, since childhood she showed a strong inclination for drawing and painting.

Supported by a family with artistic background, Sofia, once done with Primary School, register at the Artistic High School in Padua “Amedeo Modigliani". Soon her skills were noticed and not just from her teachers but form outside as well. Sofia won a competition stated by the Paediatric Hospital in Padua, where her wall paintings can still be viewed today.

Sofia proceed in her studies at the “Belle Arti Academy" in Venice completing her degree with full marks in 2013. When still in University, Sofia took part to a photographic competition “Il fotografo fotografato". She is selected to show her pictured at Parc 3 di Pordenone and successively she won the “public prize" as her pictures were the most appreciated.

In 2011 Sofia is also selected by the “GAI" (Italian Young Artist association) to take part at the “Nuovi Segnali" exhibition, at the ESU centre in Padua.

Always in 2013 Sofia took part to the competition “Mura Maestre" where she is selected to exhibit at Lucca Comics fair, in Lucca city. In November of the same year, Sofia's photographic work could be seen under the section “Autoritratti" at the Tourin “Photissima" exhibit.

From December 2014 to January 2015 Sofia's work was exhibit in “Arts Contest 2014" and then selected again for the online fair “ISTAO" in Ancona. Those art works cloud be seen until June 2015 at the di “Cultura Olivettiana Festival". At the same time Sofia is selected by the “Wealth-of-Art" Contemporary Art Gallery in London after a world-wide selection. Form at 15th to the 23rd December d Sofia's paintings were chosen for the “Progetto d'IO" collective exhibit at the “Palazzo della Permanente" in Milan.

In May 2015 Sofia's paintings could be seen in a personal Exhibiiton“Belva Gratiosa, oltre l'illustrazione" at the “Project Officina Creativa “ in Vicenza.

In 2016 Sofia's work is selected for the “Artefatto It's Me" collective exhibit, locate at the Gopcevich Palace in Trieste. In the October of the same year Sofia photography work was selected for the “Visioni contemporanee" exhibit at the “Immaginario Gallery" di Sacile (PN).

In 2017, Sofia is chosen of an oversees “artistic Residence" which will take her to Montevideo (Uruguay) from March to April. The project was approved and founded from the “Ministero degli Affari Esteri “, the “Cooperazione Internazionale" and promoted by the “Ottovolante Association" of Bologna. The experience ended with the “Va Bene" exhibit where each artist showed a painting produced during the residence. In July 2017 Sofia took part at the collective exhibit “Forma Luce Colori" located at the Montese (MO) museum.

Finally, form the 2nd Dicember 2017 to the 6th of January 2018 some of Sofia's paintings were showed at the collective exhinition “Visioni di Dicembre2 at the “Galleria delle Visioni" in Piacenza
