Presentation

Marco Filicio Marinangeli said Tigno was born in Fermo on 19 January 1990. Since he was a boy he was attracted to the art world. In the years spent at the Liceo Artistico of Fermo he dedicates his interest to the Restoration and Cultural Heritage. Enrolled at the Macerata Academy of Fine Arts, he specialized in Graphic Design.

In 2011 and 2013 he took part in the International Biennial of Humor in the Art of Tolentino.
In 2013 he graduated with 110 cum laude at the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata.
In this period with some companions of the Academy is born the Collective "Nude men who run" of which Marco is still part and with whom he has published comics, books and fanzines and with whom he has participated in numerous festivals, exhibitions and artistic events.

In the meantime, he started to exhibit his works in a collective exhibition at the Trichromy Gallery in Rome and participated in the Fruit Festival and Bilbobul Off in Bologna.
Also in the Marche region he attended the Master of Illustration Ars in Fabula graduating with full marks. During the Master he began to collaborate with the Orecchio Acerbo publishing house in Rome. The result of this collaboration are the 5 illustrations dedicated to Leone Buono by Ernest Hemingway which are exhibited in 2015 in the exhibition illustrators at the Children's Book Fair in Bologna.

His illustrations are very detailed, often composed of a mix of human, animal and fantasy. Fascinated by the world of scientific illustrations and by symbolism, he succeeded in mixing amidst this type of representation with his own style. It works both in digital and with more traditional techniques, easily passing from the computer screen to the walls of a building.

"Il Coccodrillo" is his first illustrated album and was published by Orecchio Acerbo Editore in August of this year.
The exhibition "Stories Bizzarre di Coccodrilli e Paccasassi" at Tekè Gallery is his first complete solo show, where all the original plates of the book "Il Coccodrillo" are exhibited, the original plates of the "Leone Buono",
and a selection of the other works made by Marco Marinangeli in recent years.
