Painting and dance are intimately linked in the course of his younger artiste. When he was a child,
he always was in the workshop of his father, the famous painter and scenographer Pierre Simonini, Luca learned painting. Since it belongs to the universe of the artist, he is always looking for the essential writing by focusing gesture and touch simple poetry of subject and medium.
A graduate from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in 1977, Luca Simonini involved
as costume or set designer in many shows: the Paris Opera during the head of Rudolf Nureyev, the dazzling creations of Karine Saporta, through Les Ballets de Monte Carlo with Pierre Lacotte and Jean-Christophe Maillot. Thus the dance rhythm sounds painter course and dancers are staged in his paintings.
