Cristina Rizzi Guelfi

Cristina Rizzi Guelfi (1972, Busto Arsizio, Italy) lives and works in Sardinia. Cristina began her artistic formation in the film industry as an assistant director and as an assistant director of photography. Impressed by the great Alfred Hitchcock's movie plots she started to shoot in contexts which are typical of his films. Her artistic research is focused on the communication and contraposition of elements dialoguing with each other throughout color and aesthetic; her themes are principally based on human beings phobias and their relationship with them.

She collaborates with numerous international magazines and has exhibited her work in multiple group shows, including: La poetica del corpo & Il corpo poetico, Spazio MACAO, Milan, Italy, 2013, FestiveART della follia, Spazio Cecchi, Turin, Italy, 2015, Paratissima, Turin, Italy, 2018 and Questa è l'acqua, bipersonal exhibition at Accaventiquattro Gallery, Prato, Italy, 2019.
