Marcelino Eduardo Sanchez Rodriguez

Born and Raised in: Tierra Nueva San Luis Potosí.

I have always been interested in arts in general, but it was since I started to look for my own identity that I decided to start my career in the roots of our Mexico. And this is why my research process is oriented in Popular Mexican Art and imprinted it in Great Works of Popular Art, which has been a constant satisfaction to be known by my own style that is focused on the rescue of original techniques of popular art that started in the pre-Columbian era and travel all the way to the conquest, the independence, and the revolution; rescuing images that portrayed the traditions that still remain in our country thanks to artisans and historians that show us the creations of this beautiful land.

Throughout the years of experience, I have participated in really important National Contest, participating in both painting and sculpture, with antique techniques such feather work, enconchado (shell inlayed technique), wax work, corn cane, embroidery, carved glass, bone sgraffed, etc.
