Born in 1966 in Stiphout, Marlies Daniels is a Dutch painter. She has been living and working in Germany since 1992.

Marlies Daniels studied fashion and textile design at the Montaigne academy in Amsterdam. She began her career as textile designer and an independent artist in mosaic. She also did a training in fine arts with Markus Lupertz and Jerry Zenuik.

Influenced by her mosaics, her abstract paintings are made up of lines and colored areas. Her pictorial style stands out through the use of bright colors and a dynamic composition.
