Presentation

Trained in architecture and visual arts, Evelyn Merino-Reyna's specialty has been aerial photography for the past fifteen years.

Evelyn Merino-Reyna tries to show another take on reality. Abstract, with figurative references, cut out compositions, shadow play, his photographs challenge us with this presence of matter and this unique relationship to the landscape. The Peruvian artist goes beyond the strictly realistic “photographic report” and creates another image: a poetic and pictorial world centered on nature.

Since 2006, she has exhibited her work in her country and internationally, in individual and group exhibitions. His photographs have been exhibited in particular in Peru, England, France and Switzerland. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Lima and recently entered the Colección Jan Mulder.

In 2014, she produced Pacificum, a documentary on the Peruvian Pacific and the relationship of man to the sea.

In 2018, she received the Medal of the Order of Merit of Women, for her career in art, culture and education, the most important Peruvian State prize awarded to a woman.
