Arie Perel

Arie Perel was born in 1945, a month after 2 years of suffering where his parents were hiding from the Nazis in a cellar in Poland. They immigrated to Israel in 1950. Arie's life is illustrated in her ever-expanding creation, she is his muse, existence itself. His first work as an artist was wood and metal sculptures. Later, Arie recalled and described his working process: he simply removed the rebellious wood and kept the remaining inner form. Then, planets and galaxies appeared on the artist's canvas, fulfilling their cosmic destiny under his brush. The holy land struck the artistic path of Arie. Mingled with her fascination with people, she brought a beautiful representation of the people of Jerusalem through their endless depth and diversity. Arie called all of these paintings "the three religions". While the exhibition on nature and its landscapes gives a clear picture of his perspective on the world, his abstract work reveals his own philosophical attitude. With his versatile creative style, filled with vitality and inner representation of human power, the painter invites us to explore his universe. It is through the realistic features of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, in the cubic masks of our illusions, that Arie draws a long line of possible existential self-perceptions that describes a wide range of possible catharsis. After many years, Arie has developed her own technique to link unique colors to each of her personal inspirations. This allows the wide range of his styles to maintain a cohesive tone that emphasizes his fascinating perspectives of the world.
