Mariola Wawrzusiak (1971, Rzeszów, Poland) went to the Academy for Fine Arts in 1997, where she graduated cum laude.

Thanks to her remarkable graduation, she received a scholarship from Austria (CCN Graz) in 1998, a scholarship from the city of Krakow in 1999 and in 2000 from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Today she is a Professor of Sculpture at the Academy for Fine Arts.

Mariola succeeds again and again in offering cold forms that come to life. Spaces where her works are suddenly redefined, because she always gives way to prominent, recognizable feelings with her technique and inspirations.
