After a first life as a comedian which gave him opportunities to travel and perform on stage of various theaters from Warsaw to Paris or Avignon, Jerzy Piwowarczyk dedicated himself to the other great passion of his life, visuals arts and especially photography and collage.
He succeeded in developing a personal style that always goes beyond the issue of whether it's abstract or figurative to foreground all the strength of his photographic practice : mixing, by traditional photographic means, the impact of colors, details and texture from painting, the juxtaposition from collage and even the relief from sculpture.
He is a member of the Union of Photograph Artists in Poland (ZPAF) and is also part of the SAIF in France.
