Presentation

French painter of Romanian origin, living and working in France for over 50 years.

His work has been for a very large number of years, the result of a reflection around abstract concepts, integrated into a visual artist's vision.

This is why the titles of the groups of paintings in the exhibitions have names like Connections, Meanders, Counterpoints, Contrasts, Emergences, Frontiers, Passages. In these groups each table is named by one or two letters at the beginning followed by series of numbers, to be able to decide between them. He does not wish, even if it is a little unusual, that a name imposes a meaning, necessarily subjective and limiting. It is certain that his training and experience, as well as his interest in architecture, design and graphics are present in his approach.

He also worked in IT to understand what an artist can achieve using this technology. Drawings made using the computer over the years have convinced him that it can provide precision and great speed not possible otherwise. As technology progresses, he continues to experiment in graphics to qualify this instrument in structural renderings, problems of scale, borders, color renderings. The computer is an instrument, a tool, a kind of brush, and nothing more. Even if technology is progressing rapidly, particularly in artificial intelligence, there is still plenty of space and time for the artist to express his vision.
