Evgeny Byutenko was born in 1979 in Kishinev (today Chisinau, the capital of Moldova). He studied there at the Department of Philology of the Slavic University. He worked as a courier, guard, stevedore and general worker at the factory.

He also worked as a graphic designer. He wrote poems, prose and practiced experimental music. His first solo exhibition, "Botticelli's Circle of Memory", was held in Chisinau in 2001 at the Art-Aorta gallery, where the cycle of his works "Graphic Diary" was presented for the first time.

In 2008, Evgeny moved to St. Petersburg and destroyed all of his previous works and texts. In 2010, he moved to the village of Osmino near St. Petersburg with his family. There, in 2012, he returned to drawing, writing texts and recording music. Now he works on the farm as a cattle breeder.
