Born in 1979 - Slovenia
Tanja Verlak is a Slovenian artist, born in 1979 in Ptuj. She studied in Prague at the FAMU, and obtained her diploma in documentary photography. She then moved to New Delhi and joined the Jawaharlal Nehru University. She continued her studies in London, at the Royal College of Art and did a PHD.
She has a passion for photography, her photos are mainly in black and white, where landscape holds an important role. Tanja Verlak draws inspiration from her environment, whether it's natural or artificially designed by Man. Her work highlights the vastness of spaces. Her work lets out a feeling of harmony and gentleness.
Tanja Verlak exhibits her photos all over the world, some of the places include Paris,New York and New Delhi.
