Manuel Avellaneda

Born in 1938 - Spain

Manuel Avellaneda Gomez born in December 24, 1938 was a Spanish painter who portrayed the arid landscapes and sea from his homeland in his paintings.

He began studying drawing at a very young age in his hometown. In 1957 he moved to Madrid to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in San Fernando.

Manuel Avellaneda plays around with the patterns of landscape, color seems to play a very important role, it is reminiscent of the works of his predecessors in San Fernando

In the late 1980s, Avellaneda Manuel developed a more personal style and began using patterns other than landscapes, especially still life. But at the same time, he still remains quite attached to landscapes.
