Serge Honthass is a French photographer born in Marseille. He started working in photography at the age of 12, in a photo club in the village where he lived. During 21 years, he was photographer for the Army and then turned towards journalism, sports photography, and extreme sports photography. He also participated in explorations in the Guyanese Amazon with the foreign legion in Kourou. he is an independent photographer now, and moved to Geneva in 2001.
An ambivalent photographer, Serge Honthaas is a versitile artist. From sport to wild nature, from big cities to wedding pictures, nothing stops this adventurer. His footsteps leads him where beauty can be captured with his camera. Fugacious and momentary, it is omnipresent in this world. In general, Serge Honthaas does not like the crowds of tourists, which he criticizes for their lack of authenticity.
Serge Honthaas does reportages too. He has worked with young choreographer Melinda Perles for her show "La limite".
