Stephanie Jeannet was born in 1981 in Couvet, Switzerland. She lives and works in Neuchâtel.
Stephanie studied visual arts at the Maximilien de Meuron Academy in Neuchatel. She continued her studies at the Haute École d'Art du Valais, where she explores photography, cinema, drawing and cartoon-making. During her last year, she went on six-month exchange program at the Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. She enrolled in the Animation department. She obtained her Bachelor degree in Visual Arts in 2009 and took part in a group show at the Kunsthalle Basel.
Back in Neuchâtel, she continued her artistic work producing mainly drawings and animations. She had shows in Lausanne, Basel and Moutier. In 2010, she won the competition of the city of Neuchâtel for her animated short film "The Mechanics of Happiness", and was awarded a six-month residency in Brussels as well as the financial support of the Jequier Foundation.
In addition, the city of Neuchâtel granted her special subsidies. Currently, Stephanie works on future exhibitions and works on her animation film project.
