Heidi Schmelzer is a Swiss painter, born in 1954.
Heidi did her studies in decoration before starting her career in painting. She lives and works in Basel.

Heidi Schmelzer's works are simple, almost a little naive. The artist transposes daily life in a pure manner, an environment which is unpretentious in the processing or its patterns. There is a sense of satisfaction and peace in her paintings, where visitors can rediscover themselves.

Since several decades now, Heidi's work is presented in several exhibitions, from World Naive artist exhibitions in Bratislava up to Galerie Naif in Paris.
In 2000's, Heidi turned also turned towards children and the young public, she published several books for children, a series of postcards and a calender for UNICEF.
