Tamer Derican is a Turkish artist, born in 1970 in Eskisehir. He obtained a diploma in graphic arts from the Anatolie University. Currently, he works as a lecturer in the same university.
Tamer Derican sways between abstract and figurative art. He works with forms and outlines to include landscapes and other universally familiar symbols. The content of the forms are his ground for freedom. He combines colors and mosaics, triggering a new universe. His paintings are like Russian dolls: something is hidden inside every subject.
Tamer Derican exhibits his work in Turkey but also abroad. In France, he took part in the Fine Arts National Fair of Paris, the exhibition "Petites Choses" at the Art'et Miss gallery. In 2015, he took part in the International Biennial of miniatures at Timisoara in Bulgaria, and was awarded.
