Burcin Erdi is a Turkish painter, she was born in 1977. She studied at the University of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan, and graduated in 2003. Following this, she moved to Seville, Spain, where she did her PH.D. and then opened her studio in Istanbul, where she still lives. While working as a painter, she also teaches at Namik Kemal University of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture.
Burçin Erdi's work is figurative. With her "flashback" series, the artist takes us towards dark and mysterious memories, where one can sometimes perceive discreet lines of a face.
Burçin Erdi has done around twenty personal and collective exhibitions in Turkey. The artist is also represented by a French gallery and exhibited at the Fine arts fair of the Louvre Carousel in 2016. She received several awards like at the painting "Dyo" competition, Ministry of Forestry painting competition, the 3rd painting competition of Sefik Bursali.
