Darren Baker has become one of the UK’s best known & collectable artists of the 21st century. A perfectionist who has spent most of his life developing techniques with oils, pastels and charcoal to create a form of realism comparable to photography, his accolades to date include;
Official artist to the 2012 Olympic games Official Portrait artist to Her Majesty The Queen 2011 Fine Art Trade Guild Award Winner - Best Artist 2010 Winner of The Garrick Prize at Christies, London.

Baker’s artwork already hangs in many prestigious public and private collections, including those of 10 Downing Street, The House of Lords, St James’s Palace and the Bahrain Royal household. His celebrated works are becoming increasingly sought after by art collectors around the world and with a number of high profile commissions to be announced throughout 2014, an exciting time lies ahead for this relatively young artist.

He has enjoyed a level of success that most artists only dream of with Lewis Hamilton, Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney and Amir Khan account- ing for only a handful of his sporting models. Other notable commissions include Her Majesty The Queen, HRH Prince Charles and Tony Blair. His portrait of Margaret Thatcher recently sold for £40,000 at auction in Christie’s, London.
