Roger Ferrin

United Kingdom

Biography
Translation in progress

trained at Sidcup School of Art in the late Fifties and joined the BBC Graphic Design Department in 1963.

During my thirty-two years with the Corporation I worked on Documentary features, Drama, Music and Art and Childrens programmes, designing many high profile title sequences including:

The Old Grey Whistle Test

Lovejoy

Big Deal

The House Of Elliot

To name but a few.

Throughout this period Roger painted at every opportunity and exhibited at the Grafton Gallery, Mayfair and at Liberty's in the West End. On retirement from the BBC, he began to paint full time and has exhibited at The Hawker Gallery in Amersham and at the Mall Galleries in London.

Roger grew up in Deptford and his family worked on the barges which is what urged him to paint the river.
