Jonathan Callan is a British artist born in Manchester in 1961, he currently lives and works in London.
He studied at the Goldsmiths College of Art where he graduated with honors with a Barchelors degree, then he went to the Slade School of Fine Arts, where he obtained a Masters degree in sculpture.

He makes sculptures with books which he twists and compreses to leave no space between each one of them and creates patterns by playing with the curves and the colors created by his assemblies.

His work is part of numerous important collections such as the MoMa in New York, The British Museum in London, the British Council, The Henry Moore Institute, The South London Gallery and the Whitworth Gallery in Manchester.
