Rosie Emerson

Born in 1981 - United Kingdom

Born in 1981, Rosie Emerson is an English artist. She lives and works in London.

Rosie Emerson studied visual arts at Kingston University. She depicts representations of women combining beauty, power and voyeurism. She manages to create a timeless images of women, symbolizing both ancient goddesses and contemporary icons. They are staged in a mysterious and bewitching environment, though evasive.

Recently Rosie Emerson turned towards natural materials like dust or charcoal in order to make her art unique. For "The Shrine" series, she collaborated with Becky Palmer, the photographer, with whom she created a baroque universe, where models pose in theater costumes, covered in pearls, shells and lace.

Rosie Emerson's works are displayed in the UK, Europe, Israel and the United States and have been published in several journals such as Vogue and The Financial Times. The artist has also worked with many brands such as Sony and Red Bull.
