Sara Sugarman

Director, screenwriter, actress, Sara Sugerman, was born on October 13, 1962 in Rhyl, Wales. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and from the Bournemouth Film School, the artist combines plastic arts and the seventh art.

Sara Sugerman uses different tools (chalk, gouache, charcoal ...) to superimpose or stick abstract and heteroclite elements. The combination of radiant shades offers a bouquet of colors.

The artist has won several prizes for her work: the prize for the best short film by the British Academy Film Award, the Gerty Naylor Award for his one-woman show (The Seven Ages of Sugar Man), the Hackney Empire Edward for Handsome handicapped and Hebrew. The artist has also been acclaimed for the writing of his screenplays and won the DM Davies Award at the International Welsh Film Festival and the Best International Screenplay Award at the Sundance Independent Film Festival in 2001.
