Markus & Koala

Markus & Koala is a duo that creates a unique visual universe where glamorous, high fashion and street/youth culture elements blend in vibrant harmony. Koala's photographic perspectives, from the viewpoint of a young multi-media artist, resonate throughout their work and add a modern, cutting edge imprint to Markus' glossy, 70's and 80's inspired signature style.

"Role Model" is both the title of the photography exhibit and coffee table art/fashion book by photography and directing duo, Markus & Koala. The book, which features over 100 actors, pop stars, athletes, top models and personalities is slated for release in early 2016. The book is inspired by classic 70's fashion, as well as by the merging image culture on Instagram and social media.The exhibit will showcase early outtakes of the upcoming book.

Markus & Koala absorb, process, and reflect pop culture through visuals. Together, they capture their subjects' raw and emotional energy in a striking and modern way.
