Peter Saul is an American painter born in 1934 in San Francisco, California. His work is closely connected to pop art and expressionism. He was an art teacher in Austin, Texas.
His work is part of numerous collections such as the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Art Institute of Chicago, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Museum of Modern Art, New York, Whitney Museum of American Art, Yale University Art Gallery and the Carnegie Museum of Art.
