Nancy Fouts

Born in 1950 - United States

Born in 1950, Nancy Fouts is an American artist. She lives and works in England.

Nancy Fouts did her artistic training at Chelsea School of Art and Royal College of Art in the 60's. During these years, she created her own company called Shirt Sleeve Studio, which created commercials for leading galleries like Tate Gallery and album covers for many music bands like Jethro Tull and Steeleye Span.

Nancy Fouts is a Neo-surrealist artist. The artist distorts everyday objects and gives them a whole new meaning, along with humor, at times biting and at times gentle but always irreverent. She explores the theme of time, religious iconography, nature and history.

Her creations have been presented in several private and public collections which include the Victoria and Albert Museum of London.
