Marc Felten

Born in: 1954

France

Born in 1954 in Strasbourg, Marc Felten is a French painter.

The artist paints since the age of 13, later on in his life he joined the School of Decorative Arts of Strasbourg, specializing in creative advertising. His work is particularly influenced by the work of German expressionists for its strength and visual anarchy and by Pop Art for its punchy images.

The creative process of the artist is divided into different stages, the first step being the scanning and retouching of existing images such as anatomical drawings of Carl Toldt, then the second step is the digitization of these images to transform the rendering and the details and as a final step he reproduces these images on a canvas.

Marc Felten offers a universe with overflowing energy and imaginary creatures, where dark forces encounters a positive outlook.
