Jean-Yves Cousseau

Born in: 1953


Jean-Yves Cousseau is a french artist born in 1953, working and living in the Paris area. He studied at the Beaux-Arts School in Nantes.

His artistic quest is linked to photography, a field in which he experimented with different formats and various techniques. His experience includes a wide range of activities such as filming, staging, and even working with oxidation.

Jean-Yves Cousseau has illustrated texts in many publications ("Lieux d'écrits", "Quantités discrètes" ...) and in artists' books ("Sommes", "Petite épopée"...). His work titled "Manière Noire" on the Musée Rodin reserves and the Paris area foundries led to several exhibits. He has also created videos, staged exhibits and ensured the graphic conception of catalogs for numerus museums as well as for the "Réunion des Musées Nationaux" (Meeting of National Museums).
