Switzerland

Born in 1979, Mark Bern lives and works in Zurich and Berlin. Before dedicating to his artistic practice, he was an interpreter by internet and founded several web companies. After nearly 20 years, Mark Bern questions about the methods of digital image productions. During his teenage years, Bern explored already the possibilities of manipulation of images on his first computer- a Commodore 64. Mark Bern's pièces use several digital treatments to create abstract forms that resemble pixelated photos and pièces of cubism.The artist also uses the term Pixel Art to talk about his work. Mark Bern has work without showing his work for more than 20 years. In 2013, his first art collection "Marbella" was published, and in 2014 his work evolve towards printed sculptures in 3D. Mark Bern exhibits his work internationally. His pièces have been shown in Zurich, Berlin, London and Greece.
