Alfonso Albacete

Born in: 1950

Alfonso Albacete is a Spanish painter and engraver, born in 1950.

Alfonso Albacete's work is remarkable due to its chromatic strength, the painter draws inspiration from American abstraction and the Pop-Art movement. All his paintings are a mix of abstraction and figuration.

Alfonso Albacete has been developing an iconography in his work since 1990, in which one can see landscapes, still life or human figures. Nonetheless, the artist seems to slowly be heading towards abstraction.

Albacete s paintings have been displayed during several personal exhibitions in Spain and group exhibitions, from Moscow to Monaco, not to mention Zurich and Istanbul.
