Kim Westcott

Born in: 1968

Born in 1968, Kim Westcott is an Australian engraver.

Kim Westcott creates state of the art abstract engravings, she draws inspiration from various landscapes of her surroundings.

During the creative process, Kim Westcott hollows out and scratches the copper plate. Then she applies material through pulverizing. An innovative technique in the world of engraving. She readily uses industrial tools to create ornaments and bearings. She exploits every single cavity of lines and points that she creates on copper.

Kim Wescott's work is dynamic and lyrical. She gives a spiritual aspect to her work, incorporating a reflection on representing the geographic environment. Her creations are displayed in several collections in Australia and abroad.
