Pierrick Allemand

Born in: 1973

France

Pierrick Allemand was born April 30, 1973. He lives and works in Paris.

He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Toulouse and Barcelona (Specializing in big frescoes). Pierrick Allemand takes us to a strange and contradictory world. Strange because his characters seem unaware of where they come from. From a neighborhood in Barcelona? a deadlock in the Bronx? a Parisian alley? They are like their decorations, from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Contradictory because the nostalgy they display is in conflicts with the vivid colors, the dynamics of the situations, the joy of the postures.

We imagined them in the grip of torments which their beauty and their youth know how to fight. With a very personal style, sometimes coming back to the world of cartoons, Pierrick Allemand tell us about the tormented lives of people who have lost hope. Numerous exhibitions in galleries in France (Paris, Saint Tropez, Avignon, Albi) and abroad (Brussels, London, New York and Luxembourg).
