Tom Wilson

Born in: 1945

United States

Tom Wilson is a pop fashion icon. Born in West Hollywood, California, in 1945, now he lives in Florance, Italy. His life’s adventure began in America then from the age of ten, can be mapped across China, Israel, Spain and France, before he reached his ultimate destination, Italy. He was more immersed in contemporary American iconography than most children living in the U.S.A. at the time, as his mother, Ella, a fashion designer in L.A., cultivated her son’s innate talent. Tom Wilson’s artistic endeavors continued when the family traveled, but his creativity was stimulated by another source. He visited Italy, Milan and Florance, and there he discovered his passion for fashion. Tom Wilson created paintings for Miuccia Prada, Maurizio Guggi, Valentino and Gianfranco Ferrè.
