Laure Simoneau

Born in: 1970 France
Born in 1970 in Dijon, Laure Simoneau is a French sculptor.

Laure obtained a double major in humanities and in arts. At first she worked as a teacher and then switched to family therapist in order to help children and adults in need. During a long time, the artist listened to other people's feelings and emotional issues, but after a while she felt the need to express her own feelings. So she found in art an aesthetic and poetic way to externalize her feelings.

After several artistic experiments and researches, the artist turned to sculpture. So she started creating faces with simple lines and iron wires, in an elegant and refined style.
Her work as a tight-rope walker taught her to always search for balance and harmony between the lines and the shapes in the faces or bodies she created.
