Colorful Geometric Painters

Australian artists

Born in Western Australia, later moving to Canada where she is now based, a passion for creating since childhood has endured. With a love of bold color, natural material and simplicity a distinct style has evolved.

Over the years Kate has undertaken many forms of informal art education that have contributed to what you see today. Kate s employment has provided copious hours of looking at the world below from an airplane window which is the inspiration for her works.

My works are a simplification and bold interpretation of topographical views of landscapes, streets and infrastructure. My process is to integrate the beauty of raw canvas, smooth out everyday forms and give them bold acrylic color. What is produced on canvas is a by-product of a form of relaxation and escapism. Constantly working on being brave enough to keeping it simple and enjoying process.
