Maryam Ahi Gallery is pleased to present its new exhibition with Mehdi Mirbagheri (b. 1980), a reference of Iranian pop art. Known for his playful and open approach to digital art, such as his characteristic line work and sense of composition, Mehdi's work embraces aesthetics, provocation and history, recurring techniques, finishes, and images that allude to historical and contemporary forms. We are also pleased to introduce a new talented soul who gave the guideline for the new exhibition, Ramin Rostamzadeh (b. 1983).
Great realistic touch, a lot of joy in his way of creating, uses only oil medium on his work, a combination of tradition and modernity, Ramin's works put us in a past, present and future position that we have to play with.
It was obvious that we wanted to bring these two talented souls together for this occasion. Exhibition fall 2024 and name it “Glory and History” referring to the glorious past of the Qajar dynasty and the historical part of Iranian culture.
