Biography

I attended the Rochester Institute of Technology and received a BFA in painting in 1975, with a minor in motion picture/photography. After college, I moved from Cleveland to NYC and spent a 30-yr-career in advertising as an art director and creative director. I moved to L.A. in 2006 as executive creative director for a worldwide ad agency. Now retired from advertising, I'm free to pursue my first love, painting in oils.

In my paintings, I try to create a sense of a light source, whether natural sunlight or artificial light -(like a neon sign). I hope my work evokes both a quality of time of day, as well as the sensation of light describing form.

Education:

BFA (painting major) - Rochester Institute of Technology
Ohio University - independent study in England for human anatomy drawing (from cadavers)
