Danielle Lauzon

Danielle Lauzon was born in the Laurentians, although she spent most of her life in Montreal. Since 2015, she lives and paints in Ste-Julienne in Lanaudière. Over time, Danielle has completed several courses and workshops in visual arts, as well as in art history.

Lauzon began to take an interest in and practice art from his youth. She launched into abstract art in 2007 and instantly adopted it as her favorite style. This form of expression allows him to make painting the very subject of his works.

Since 2009, Lauzon has participated in more than thirty group exhibitions, both in Canada and abroad. The latter has also presented her work in various solo exhibitions in Canada. His works are in several private and public collections, mainly in North America and Europe. Lauzon has also participated in international symposia in Morocco, Jordan and Egypt.

The quality and uniqueness of Danielle Lauzon's paintings lie in the possibility of making multiple readings of them as a spectator. On our first reading of the work, we can see an abstract composition characterized by a strong informal aspect, then surprising by the treatment of colors. By observing the canvas more carefully, we can gradually detect more figurative ramifications that come to complicate the stories initially sketched in our minds.
