Rud Faja

I was born on September 30, 1994. In a small town in near seaside. When I was a child, I saw somewhere in a magazine a painting of Paul Cezanne and i couldn't stop looking at it. And i thought to myself "this is what i want to be when i grow up".

Since that moment, I kept drawing as much as I could. Beside that, I was always reading art history as my favourite books. The more i did read, the more i was amazed by how beautiful the world must be when saw by the right eyes.  Growing up, parents started to be concerned about it. Because they were always considering art as some kind of gambling with life. A dangerous occupation. Afraid that they would cut off the financial support, I started studying mechanical engineering in Polytechnic University. But I abandoned it just as I finished the first year. I wasn't born for that. Maybe it's a luxury to be an idealist , but i didn't want to take that off from myself.  In the next two years, I did different jobs to be able to start studying art. As a waiter, as a barman , in shoes factory , cleaner in hotel. In 2016, I finally could start studying art at the Fine Art School.

Always going to fields and rivers with the sketchbook or the easel with me. Nature was (is) always my muse. I was always fascinated with the fact that everything depends on the changing light.  How land can change its mood depending on the sky mood. Many times I used to go the lakes instead of school. I was working in furniture factory on afternoons (after classes), so I had to give to myself some minutes of enjoying the beauty around ! The more time passed, the more I started to appreciate the simple things of daily life. My mom sewing, my dad sleeping in his sofa, people just walking and talking. To me, these are the most honest moments of life...
