Presentation
Born in France in 1945, Marc studied art in Nice. He lived in Toulon for six months in 1963.
From 1968 begins a life of travel, in New Caledonia and Tahiti, New Zealand, and in 1989 he became an Australian citizen. He resided in China for six months in 1995 and 1996.
He brought back the rice paper that he has since used in his paintings, and there he met his wife Lihong.
East meets West in his compositions, collages and image repetitions in themes that Marc developed over the following years, almost always celebrating travel, be it the Australian Bush, the Pacific Islands, the 'Asia and Europe.
Marc Rambeau exhibits regularly in Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong, in Nouméa and Tahiti and in Australia.
