Presentation

Synergies between different forms of expression are of major importance in his work. Feeding his painting with numerous collaborations, he practices street art, dance and performance.

After multiple exhibitions from the Middle East to China and across Europe, he created, during confinement, gigantic ephemeral frescoes on the ground. Today, Pôlet immerses himself in digital drawing and brings out an authentic and surprising work while continuing the evidence of his painting.

"Painting is a mental thing. It must provoke reflexivity and allow the viewer to see his own thought in action". For Luis Pôlet the composition, the relationship to light and the movements between the bodies modulate the painting to extract the essence that stimulates the intelligence of the seer.

His recent paintings question the history of art and our way of understanding it. The artist revisits the paintings of Rubens and Michelangelo through the prism of a contemporary perception.
