Michel Lizzani

Lizzani is first and foremost a humble and joyful approach to creation, based on the senses and the sharing of emotions, like having a good meal with friends. In his studio in Mouans-Sartoux, he launches an assault on materials to which little aesthetic value is granted, mask on his face and tools in his hand.

From the simplicity of standard products, he then brings out the nobility, that of a work of art, always unique. When he talks about his inspirations, he immediately leans towards Italy: there was the genius of Alberto Burri, who invented abstract forms from burlap or plastic, then the art movement. povera, aiming to create a universal language through the use of raw and natural materials.

"The idea of poor materials was there, and that of transforming them", recalls this former real estate agent and property dealer, who was in direct contact with all renovation materials, and in particular... insulation.
