Presentation
For the past ten years, France has been living and working in her studio in Aix en Provence, France.
France Courpotin expresses, through her characters, the close relationship, almost carnal, between the human being and Nature in what it could have of beautiful, inventive, creative, but also of secrecy, unconsciousness, and mystery.
Very influenced by the aesthetic details of Japanese painting, she uses Indian ink, acrylics, and oils. An innate colorist, France Courpotin celebrates the biodiversity of the world around us. Her paintings reflect it trough kimonos, abstract landscapes and Japanese graphics design.
