Biography
Philippe Formet is a French digital artist born in 1953. He began his artistic journey with traditional techniques like gouache and oil, initially influenced by Van Gogh, Impressionism, and early abstract movements. In the 1990s, he transitioned toward geometric abstraction, drawing inspiration from artists such as Kandinsky, Mondrian, Malevich, Vasarely, and Herbin.
Over time, Formet embraced digital media as his primary mode of creation, using technology to push the boundaries of form, space, and color. His work is defined by vibrant compositions, precise geometric structures, and a refined, modern aesthetic that bridges the traditional and the contemporary.
